Ricliv-9g Syrup is a urinary alkaliser used for the management of renal tubular acidosis, gout, and kidney stones. Kidney stones are hard, small masses composed of calcium, phosphate, and other acid salts/minerals that aggregate together in concentrated urine. Renal tubular acidosis is a disorder where the kidneys do not remove acids from the blood into the urine; this leads to the blood being too acidic.

Ricliv-9g Syrup has disodium hydrogen citrate, which is metabolized to bicarbonate and increases the excretion of free bicarbonate ions; it raises the solubility of cysteine in urine and ionizes uric acid to soluble urate ion. This aids in raising the urinary pH, thus making the urine less acidic.
