Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution Mouthwash I.P.: Chlorhexidine Gluconate is also employed to treat a range of mouth conditions, such as mouth infections, ulcers, and gum inflammation (gingivitis). Mouth infections often result from an excess bacterial growth in the mouth. Some of the usual symptoms are painful gums or bleeding gums, bad breath, sensitivity of the teeth, and an altered sense of taste. Gingivitis arises due to the accumulation of bacteria along the gum line, causing inflammation.
Chlorhexidine Gluconate has chlorhexidine gluconate or chlorhexidine (an antibacterial). Chlorhexidine Gluconate acts by attaching itself to bacterial cell walls and breaking down their cell membranes, killing bacteria in the mouth. This reduces plaque, tartar, and bacteria, causing gum disease. It therefore supports general dental and oral health.
Medical Benefits:
- Chlorhexidine Gluconate treats infections of the mouth, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums), dental plaque, denture stomatitis, and thrush.
